You love your kids. So why is this so hard?
Some days parenting feels impossible.
You want to be patient, calm, and connected with your child. Yet somehow you find yourself reacting in ways that don't feel good, getting pulled into power struggles, or ending the day wondering how things went off track.
The truth is, parenting isn't just about our children. It also asks us to look at our own triggers, beliefs, and experiences. That's hard work - but it can also be deeply transformative.
It's Never Too Late to Turn Things Around
None of us start off as parents knowing what to do. We imagine how things will be, then get run over by the reality of daily life and the immense pressures of caring for our kids.
No matter where you are today, change is possible.
I am here to help you create more connection, cooperation, calm, and ease - one relationship, one conversation, and one step at a time.
Hi! I'm Erika Mathur
My journey to becoming a Certified Parent Coach began long before my certification. It began with my own experiences as a parent.
Like many parents, I deeply love my children and wanted to do better than some of the parenting I experienced growing up. Yet raising my two children challenged me in ways I never expected. It humbled me, stretched me, and ultimately transformed me.
As I discovered a different approach, one rooted in connection, mutual trust, understanding, and respect, I saw firsthand how powerful it can be to strengthen our relationship with our children while also growing ourselves.
I believe parenting is some of the most important and challenging work we will ever do. It asks us to look inward, learn new skills, and sometimes heal old wounds. The good news is that growth is always possible.
With more than 30 years of experience working with children and families, along with my training as a parent coach and educator, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to our work together. My role is not to judge or tell you what to do. My role is to support, guide, and encourage you as you work toward the kind of relationship you want with your child.
Wherever you are in your parenting journey, I am ready to meet you there and help you create more connection, cooperation, confidence, and calm in your family.
“Erika gave me the confidence and feeling of safety to learn and feel guided to identify better ways to communicate with my children, and to believe once again that I can be a great parent. Erika is an outstanding parenting coach who will go above and beyond to ensure your questions get answered.”
-Kate, mom of 2
“Erika has been an extraordinary resource and support for me. She showed incredible compassion, listened without judgment, asked clarifying questions, and offered perspective and guidance with practical tips I could try. I have children at different ages and stages, and I truly don’t know how I would have navigated this parenting journey without her insights. She’s helped me become a better parent and person, more aware of the individuality of myself, my partner, and children.”
-Jill, mom of 3
"This parenting coach is a game-changer! She boosted my core confidence, offered innovative engagement strategies specific to us, and fosters deep parent-child connections. Expect 'ah-ha!' moments and a path towards intentionally creating a bond with your children that seeks to grow stronger over time. Highly recommended for any parent seeking to enhance their parenting journey."
-Rheya, mom of 2
It Doesn't Have to Feel This Hard
Imagine responding to your child with more confidence and less second-guessing. Imagine fewer power struggles, more cooperation, and a stronger sense of connection, even during difficult moments.
This doesn't mean parenting becomes perfect. Children will still have big feelings, challenging behaviors, and hard days. So will you.
What can change is how you experience those moments and how you move through them together. With the right support, parenting can feel less like a constant battle and more like the relationship you always hoped to have with your child.
You don't have to figure it all out on your own. I would be honored to support you along the way.
Here's How It Works:
When you book a call with me, we’ll sit down together and talk so I can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where I can offer support.
I’ll explain my approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.
If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started. If it’s not a good fit, I will do my best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
